Abbreviated CV

Degree (2017) and Master's Degree (2018) in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) of the University of the Basque Country (UPV). PhD in Chemical Engineering at the FCT of the UPV in 2023.

Since 2024, postdoctoral researcher at the Institut für Katalyseforschung und -technologie (IKFT) at the Karlsruhe University of Technology (KIT), Germany, and at the FCT of the UPV.

Bachelor's and Master's Thesis focused on the implementation of a membrane reactor for the direct production of dimethyl ether (DME) by CO/CO2 hydrogenation.

PhD thesis entitled ‘Methanol-to-hydrocarbon (MTH) processes over H-ZSM-5 zeolites: New kinetic modeling methodology using forced periodic operation and improvements in catalyst formulation’, focused in the Methanol-to-hydrocarbons (MTH) process over H-ZSM-5 zeolites, and developed in the Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorisation group (ProCat-VaRes) at the FCT of the UPV. Knowledge in the synthesis of zeolites, the set-up and use of laboratory-scale reactors and characterisation and analysis equipment, and the development of kinetic models for the simulation and optimisation of the MTH process. During my thesis, I enjoyed a stay at the Inorganic Systems Engineering (ISE) group at the Technical University of Delft (TUDelft), The Netherlands, which helped to broaden my knowledge in the improvement of catalysts applied to the MTH process.

Currently, my work is focused on computational chemistry, applying different software (VASP, ORCA...), with the aim of studying the MTH process at a microkinetic level and to increase the accuracy and applicability of the kinetic models already developed.
