Abbreviated CV

Bachelor in Chemical Engineering (2006) and PhD in Chemical Process Engineering and Sustainable Development (UPV/EHU, 2011, Extraordinary Doctorate Award). My professional activity has been developed at the UPV/EHU, where I started by obtaining a contract for the Specialisation of Doctoral Research Staff (2012). In 2014 I obtained a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, becoming Associate Professor in 2019.

My research work in the Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorization (CPWV) research group is based on waste (biomass, tyres, plastics...) valorization by thermochemical processes in order to obtain high value added products, such as fuels, chemicals, synthesis gas or hydrogen. We have developed the conical spouted bed reactor technology for thermal and catalytic pyrolysis gasification, as well as integrated pyrolysis and in line reforming or catalytic cracking processes. This research activity has led to 94 publications in JCR journals, which have received 8500 citations, resulting in an h-index of 54 (WoS). I have been included in the CSIC Ranking of Women Researchers, as well as in the Ranking of the World Scientists: World's Top 2% Scientists of Stanford University. I have been awarded 2 six-year research periods (2007-2012 and 2013-2018). In addition, I have participated in 26 research projects, being the Principal Investigator of 3 of them, as well as in 8 research contracts with companies. Finally, I have supervised 2 Doctoral Theses, with 4 more in progress, as well as 25 Degree and Master's Degree Final Projects.

I currently teach Reactor Design and Separation Processes courses in the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology Bachelor Degrees (UPV/EHU), as well Advanced Chemical Reactors in the Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering (UPV/EHU-UC). I have been recognized for a five-year teaching period (2013-2019) and I have participated twice in the Docentiaz program for the evaluation of teaching activity (2013/14-2018/19 and 2018/19-2022/23, with a grade of Very Good and Excellent, respectively).
