(Professor)

Abbreviated CV

Graduated in Chemistry (spec., Industrial Chemistry, 1988) and Ph.D in Chemistry (1992) by the UPV/EHU, with Extraordinary awards. Lecturer (since 1992) and Professor (since 2004) in the Chemical Engineering Department (UPV/EHU).

Research line focused on the development of catalytic processes of interest in energy and environment, specifically, the transformation of oxygenated compounds (dimethyl ether , methanol, ethanol, bio-oil) into fuels, chemicals (light olefins) or hydrogen. The topics studied include: selection of catalysts (acids, metallic and bifunctional); analysis of their deactivation and regeneration; kinetic modelling and; reactor design and simulation.

I have taken part in more than 50 Public Research Projects (main researcher in 6 projects from the National R&D&i Program), and 25 Contract with companies (5 as main researcher).

Head of Department (2006/12), Responsible of Ph. D Program (2007/12), Responsible of Master Program (2007/08-currently), Coordinator of Chemical Technology (in ANEP and AEI, 2015-2018), and Responsible of Energy (in the panel Energy and Transport, AEI (2018-2019)).

QUALITY INDICES:

- 5 Six-year Research periods and 1 Six-year Transfer period.

- More than 160 articles in indexed journals (majority in Q1 in areas of the JCR).

- H index=54 (Scopus).

- Director of 18 Ph. D Thesis (5 with Extraordinary Award and 6 with International Distinction).

- More than 250 Communications in National and International Conferences.
