Taking into consideration some proposals for an invitational rhetoric, we present and illustrate a model of invitational argumentation. We argue that its purpose is to offer an invitation to understanding the way the involved arguments and agents are affected by the interaction in the communication. As a result, invitational argumentation is transformational argumentation, and not merely persuasive argumentation.
