BY TRAIN: The train station is located in the center of Vitoria-Gasteiz and just 2 minutes from the conference venue. Hence, if you are travelling from most cities in Spain and Portugal or from France, we highly recommend traveling to Vitoria-Gasteiz by train.
BY PLANE: If there is no good train connection for you, Vitoria-Gasteiz has regular (but not daily) direct flights to Sevilla, Málaga, Alicante, Mallorca, Gran Canaria and Tenerife in Spain, as well as with Brussels (Belgium), Cologne-Bonn (Germany) and Milan (Italy). Bus tickets between the airport and the city-center can be purchased here.
Otherwise, the closest big airport is in Bilbao Airport, with daily flights to many Spanish and European cities. The airport is located 75 km. from Vitoria-Gasteiz, and it takes about 60 min. by taxi and about 1h 45min by bus (it requires taking the regular bus from the airport to Bilbao Intermodal bus station, and there to take the regular and frequent (every 30-60 min.) bus to Vitoria-Gasteiz.
