She obtained the Bachelor’s degree (2006) and PhD. (2011) in Food Science and Technology in the UPV/EHU. From 2012, she is Associate professor.

As RESEARCHER, she has worked in two main lines. The first one includes the study of functional ingredients (fatty acids and polyphenols) with possible application in the regulation of body weight. In this field, she made a research internship in the laboratory of Dr. Rudolf Zechner, in Graz (Austria). Currently, she is a member of GLUTENS consolidated group, where she works on the determination of gluten content in foods and on the development of tools for knowledge transference and nutrition education.



As far as its TEACHING ACTIVITY is concerned, she teaches in the degree of Human Nutrition and Dietetics. She also teaches in the “Nutrition and Health” and “Healthy Aging and Quality of Life Master” of the UPV/EHU and in “Quality, Development and Innovation of Food” master of the University of Valladolid. She has implemented active teaching methodologies in class, and she a member of ZEHARGAITUZ group, which is accredited as an IKD structured teaching team of the UPV/EHU.
