Degree in Biology with a specialty in Genetics at the Complutense University of Madrid (2002) and PhD from the UPV/EHU (2009) (special doctorate award). She developed her postdoctoral research activity at the Institute of Human Genetics in Kiel (Germany) (2010-2012) and later, in the Department of Genetics, Physical Anthropology and Animal Physiology of the UPV/EHU (2013-2017). Since September 2017, she is an assistant professor in the same department, where she teaches courses in the area of Genetics in the Degrees of Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, and postgraduate teaching (UPV / EHU). She is the coordinator of the 2nd year of the Biology degree. He has co-directed 3 doctoral theses, 1 TFM and 5 TFG.



Her research is focused on the genetics and epigenetics of lymphomas and pediatric cancers, as well as pharmacogenetics, with 49 articles published. Since October 2018, she is PI of a consolidated research group (A) of the Basque Government that studies the genetics and epigenetics of complex diseases. She is also a member of the Ethics Committee of the UPV/EHU.
