Uniforms and equipment necessary for the internship (Incoming students)

Students doing their mobility in the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing, in any of the four degrees (Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Dentistry), and who have to do a placement during their stay, must bring the necessary uniform and equipment.

Things to bear in mind:

  • Years 1 to 3 are taught at the Leioa Faculty.
  • Years 4 to 6 are taught in the Teaching Units of the host capitals: Basurto (Bilbao), Cruces (Barakaldo-near Bilbao), San Sebastián and Vitoria.
  • When you request a place on years 4 to 6, you may indicate your preferred choice of hospital (Basurto or Cruces University Hospitals in Bilbao; Donostia University Hospital in Donostia-San Sebastian or Txagorritxu University Hospital in Vitoria-Gasteiz).
  • If there are insufficient places in your chosen Teaching Unit, you will be assigned to a hospital with vacancies.
  • No changes are permitted once the choice has been made.
  • Due to the fact that the Faculty and the Teaching Units are located in different places, it is difficult to combine the courses taught in one with those taught in the other.
  • Student orientation will be carried out at the designated Teaching Unit.
  • Each student should contact the Coordinator of their designated Teaching Unit, who will help them organise the theoretical/practical teaching programme and provide them with information about different aspects linked to their studies.
  • Students will not be admitted in July and August (non-school).
