MTP Kit For Women is a medical abortion method that is used to terminate a pregnancy. This method can be used only up to 63 days of pregnancy. The MTP kit for women contains two drugs, mifepristone and misoprostol which are given orally. The first drug mifepristone is given on the first day and the second drug misoprostol is taken 24-48 hours later.

Mifepristone blocks the hormone progesterone needed by the body to continue a pregnancy. Misoprostol induces contractions similar to labor pains that cause the uterus to empty its contents. Mifepristone cannot be taken after 49 days since your last period, as it may cause fatal birth defects if taken after this time.
