The seminar consists of five reading sessions on the topic of propositions. The readings are selected from:

King, J.C.; Soames, S.; Speaks, J. (ed.) (2014): "New Thinking about Propositions". Oxford: Oxford University Press.

The seminar is in English and is organized by Ainhoa Fernández. All the sessions take place in the Room B1 of the Carlos Santamaría Building, 1st floor. The schedule is as follows:

08/10/2019 at 11:30AM: Brief Introduction to the Topic and a State of the Art.
22/10/2019 at 11:30AM: "What Role do Propositions play in our Theories?" (J.C.King) and "What’s Wrong with Semantic Theories that Make no use of Propositions" (J. Speaks).
05/11/2019 at 11:30AM: "Recent Work on Propositions" (P.Hanks).
19/11/2019 at 11:00AM: "Why the Traditional Conception of Propositions can’t be Correct" (S.Soames).
03/12/2019 at 04:30PM: "The View of Propositions as Types of Actions" (P.Hanks).
