I received my Degree in Speech and Language Therapy in 2003 at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and my B.A. in Linguistics in 2007 at the University of Barcelona. After working several years as a Speech and Language therapist in clinical centers, in 2013 I completed my M.A. in the European Master in Clinical Linguistics in the University of Potsdam and Groningen. The same year I was awarded a Ph.D. fellowship from the EACEA of the European Commission to work within the International Doctorate in Experimental Approaches to Language And the Brain (IDEALAB) at the University of Groningen, Newcastle, Trento, Potsdam and Macquarie (joint degree). I completed my Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience in 2017 with the thesis entitled “Sentence comprehension in monolingual and bilingual aphasia: Evidence from behavioral and eye-tracking methods”.

Research interest: aphasia; language disorders; language therapy; cognitive rehabilitation; metacognitive-awareness; evidence based therapy; bilingualism; language control; executive functions; syntax; morphology; language processing.
