Degree in Chemistry from the UPV/EHU (1999) and PhD from the MU (2008) in the program of Mechanical Behavior and Materials Science. Currently lecturer at the UPV/EHU in the Dep. of Mining Eng. and Metallurgy and Materials Science. There she teaches at the Technical Engineering degrees (subject Materials Science) as well as the Metallic Materials subject of the Master in Advanced Materials Engineering. She is also involved in the direction of end of degree and master projects.

The research trajectory has been mainly focused on the microstructural characterization of metallic materials in different manufacturing processes: at INASMET technology center, currently Tecnalia, in the Materials and Processes dep. (2000-01). Research period continued at the MGEP-MU, at the Manufacturing Department (2002-2006): metallic materials in cold deformation processes. After being at Gamesa (Pamplona 2007), she was incorporated to the UPV/EHU at the end of 2007. The first research works in the UPV/EHU focused again on the study of metal matrix composites. Currently, the research work is focused on metallurgical aspects (mainly the characterization of metallic materials) collaborating with different research groups of the UPV/EHU as well as with the Univ. of Bordeaux through the cross-border laboratory called AENIGME. She is co-author of 20 publications in magazines and congresses and she has a six-year research-term recognized by the CNAI.
