Engineer in Automation and Industrial Electronics from the Mondragón Unibertsitatea in 1999 and Ph.D from the UPV / EHU in 2013. Before joining the university, since 2000 he worked in a consumer electronics company as a Firmware Engineer. Since 2004 he has been a full-time professor at the UPV / EHU in the area of electronics technology. Currently, he is associate professor.
He is a member of the APERT research group (group A of the Basque university system). He has supervised 4 Ph.D works. He has participated in 53 public and private funded research projects being the head researcher in 5 of them.
He coauthored 34 indexed journal papers, 11 papers in national journals, 49 international conference papers and 35 national conference papers, 2 patents and 1 on-line publication. He has 3 research six-year periods recognized by the CNEAI and 3 Teaching five-year. His current research interests include the design and control of power converters.
