On November 17, the Award Ceremony 2017 of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry was held in the Main Lecture Hall of the Biological Research Center. The RSEQ granted Claudio Palomo, Professor of Organic Chemistry and Director of the Organic Chemistry I Department of the UPV / EHU, the Gold Medal of the entity (maximum distinction). José María Asua, Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director of the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering, POLYMAT Fundazioa, received the Research Excellence Award.
