Graduate (2000) and doctor (PhD award, 2004) in chemistry at UPV/EHU. My teaching trajectory began in 2004 as Lecturer at FCT/ZFT in Leioa. Afterwards, I was Assistant Professor in 2006 at Pharmacy Faculty in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Actually and from 2011, I have a permanent position as Associate Professor at the Physical Chemistry department of FCT/ZTF. My teaching subjects are General Chemistry and Physical Chemistry mainly in the Chemistry Degree. In fact, I was second course coordinator from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, I got a positive-excellent qualification in Dozentiaz.
My research activity is carried out in the Molecular Spectroscopy Laboratory. The main scope of my research is the photophysical, mechanoquantic and electrochemical characterization of multifunctional fluorescent dyes and photoactive materials applied in optoelectronics and biophotonics. The finantial support for the research has been achieved from autonomic projects (A grourp by GV from 2010) and national projects (MINECO). In 2006 I made a 6 month postdoctoral stay at the laboratory of Prof. Gion Calzaferri from Bern University in Switzerland. I have been coauthor of 6 book chapters, 4 reviews and more than 100 scientific articles published in indexes and reputed journals. My h index is 31 (WOS) and 33 (Google Scholar), and I have 3 six-year periods of research. I have supervised 2 doctoral thesis (both with PhD awards), 3 master´s thesis in New Materials and 9 undergraduate dissertations in Chemistry.
