Biography
Marwa Yahyaoui carried out the studies of chemistry, in fine chemistry (2012) and Master's Degree in organic chemistry (2014) at the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis (FST) in the University of Tunisia El Manar (UTM), where she performed ‘Qualification of liquid chromatographic chains, update of the qualification protocol and application of an assay method by HPLC and UPLC’ and “ Study of the composition and fractionation of olive oil of different varieties” as final projects under the supervision of Mr. Lotfi Sayadi (chemical engineering) and Dr. Manef Abderrabba. She follows a joint supervision thesis between the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU directed by Dr.Jalel Labidi and the University of Tunisia El Manar (UTM) directed by Mr.Manef Abderrabba. She started in the group of ‘laboratory materials molecules and applications (LMMA) in September 2014, and in the group of ‘Biorefinery Processes' in April 2015 working as a researcher. Currently, she is in his fourth year as a PhD student, being beneficiary of scholarship of the University of Tunisia El Manar.
Research
Since its joining to the doctoral program in 2014, she has participated in the development of various funded projects. She published her first article in an international scientific journal and has participated in various training courses and conferences. Actually, her research focuses on the development of active packaging films using the essential oils and plants extracts. Also, the use of these additives to be combined with commercial biopolymers.
