Bizkaia Aretoa is a unique building, both for its architectrual features and for the surroundings in which it is located: the regenerated area of Abandoibarra in Bilbao. The piece of modern architecture designed by the prestigious architect Alvaro Siza, is a part of the proyect that has transformed Bilbao in a city of reference within the context of the culture, architecture and services.

As proof of this, there are several fragments extracted from the book "BILBAO, nueva arquitectura/new architecture", written by the architects Francisco J and Bernardo I.
