Summary:

The thesis studies the initial development of Terrestrial Digital Television in Spain and in Europe at a time when DVB standards were approved that enabled the new technology to be introduced and its essential features to be  shaped. The thesis also studies its integration into a market dominated by the convergence of the different technologies deriving from what is known as Multimedia Convergence.
