Doctoral Programme in Research in Contemporary Art

This doctoral programme aims to develop cross-curricular projects that deal with the artistic act in line with contemporary artistic practices.

The objectives of the programme revolve around the following lines of research:

• Search for methodologies and strategies through artistic procedures and materials.
• Study of artistic practices and their products from a contemporary point of view.
• Relationship between artistic practices and their social, political, economic, ideological and human context.
• Study of the overlap between art and science.
• Study of the educational and research nature of graphic design.
• Construction of knowledge through artistic education.

The programme has a network of national and international universities with which joint thesis direction agreements can be arranged.
