Verónica Palomares (1981, Bilbao) is currently Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She received her bachelor's degree in 2004 and her PhD degree in 2009 from UPV/EHU. She has a broad background on materials chemistry applied to batteries. She has worked on nanostructured cathodes for Li-ion batteries in collaboration with Cidetec-IK4 during PhD and later she has optimized new inorganic materials as cathodes for sodium ion batteries in collaboration with CIC Energigune. Her research interests have extended to anode materials for Na-ion systems based on green sustainable precursors and preparative methods.
