Master's Degree in Auditing and Advanced Accounting

The Master's Degree in Auditing and Advanced Accounting provides advanced academic and professional training in the subjects and skills required to practice the regulated profession of statutory auditor in Spain. The program is approved by the ICAC (Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoría de Cuentas), attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, as a theoretical training course for statutory auditors in the subjects of Block 1, Accounting and Statutory audits of annual accounts, (Resolución de 26 de julio de 2021, del Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoría de Cuentas) that exempts from the first part of the exam to access the public register ROAC (Registro Oficial de Auditores de Cuentas) in these modules.

It is also approved by the Consejo General de Economistas (CGE) and the Instituto de Censores Jurados de Cuentas de España (ICJCE), as a theoretical training course to access to the REC (Registro de Expertos Contables), that exempts from the theoretical exam in the subjects of the Blocks I and II.

The main objective of the Master is to provide theoretical and practical training, either in accounting and financial and non-financial reporting or in statutory auditing, aimed at both people who wish to specialize and those who want to update their skills.

At the end of the program, students will be able to prepare, review and analyse financial statements, collaborate in statutory audits, as well as intervene in bankruptcy proceedings, or as a future statutory auditor or accounting expert. This includes the application of technical knowledge and the development of informed judgment to the different situations that they will face as professionals.

The course requires mandatory external practices in audit or acccounting firms.

Classes are taught in Spanish.
