Master´s Degree in Globalisation and Development

The Master's Degree in Globalisation and Development is oriented towards training in development studies in the context of globalisation and its different dimensions. The training programme focuses on the theoretical and methodological areas of two fundamental dimensions: globalisation, understood as the globalisation of interrelationships and processes in the economic, social, political and cultural spheres; and the main theoretical approaches to development, with special emphasis on Human Development and Sustainable Development. The programme deals with the different strategies and policies adopted in the field of development, examining the current challenges of international cooperation.

Students will be able to opt for specific analysis of some of the most relevant dimensions of development processes, such as gender, poverty and inequality, environment, local development, governance, conflict and human security. This master's degree gives direct access to the PhD programme in Development Studies.
