Visita de Jessica Fouilloux Thomasset

Jessica Fouilloux Thomasset

visit of Prof. Jessica Fouilloux Thomasset (Bordeaux University, France)

From April 28th to May 2nd, 2025, Prof. Jessica Fouilloux Thomasset, Deputy Director of the College of Law, Political Science, Economics, and Management; Deputy Director of the IRGO laboratory; Vice-President of Teaching and Innovations of the French Finance Association visited our university as part of the ENLIGHT alliance and the Erasmus program.

During her stay, she delivered two lectures for students. The first one was focused on understanding and analyzing human behavior in organizations. The course explored key factors that undermine sound decision-making, focusing on cognitive biases that systematically distort judgment and noise—random variability that leads to inconsistent decisions. Emphasis was placed on practical techniques to reduce both bias and noise, with applications in contexts such as recruitment interviews and financial decision-making.

The second concerns Sustainable finance. The course focused on key topics in sustainable finance, with particular attention to ESG ratings, their methodological divergence across providers, and the growing role of green bonds in financing environmentally responsible projects. The objective was to highlight the challenges and opportunities in aligning financial performance with sustainability goals.
