Visit of Lenka Petláková and Dagmar Kubišová from the University of University in Usti nad Labem
May 2026
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) for the warm welcome and excellent organisation of our Erasmus+ Staff Mobility. From the very first moment, we felt like valued colleagues rather than visitors. Our stay was filled with inspiring discussions, the exchange of good practices, new ideas, and a genuinely friendly atmosphere. We returned home with fresh motivation, valuable professional insights, and wonderful memories. Thank you to everyone who made this experience so special.
Our accommodation was provided in the university residence, conveniently located just a short walk from the campus. The residence also offered a dining hall, where we enjoyed several breakfasts alongside local students. These informal encounters gave us a nice glimpse into everyday student life.
We met with the Erasmus Coordinator, Ms Gurutze Intxaurburu, who kindly guided us around the campus and introduced us to the university's facilities. We also had the opportunity to meet with the university management and discuss student mobility, international cooperation, and future opportunities for collaboration. During our conversations, we realised that our institutions have much in common and face many similar challenges.
During our stay, we met with an FSE UJEP student currently studying at UPV/EHU. It was great to hear about his experiences with studying and living in the Basque Country and to learn more about his Erasmus journey from a student's perspective.
Our stay also allowed us to discover the rich culture of the Basque Country. Following Ms Gurutze's recommendations, we explored several historical sites and enjoyed traditional local cuisine, making our mobility a rewarding experience both professionally and personally.
Thank you!
