Project summary:

The objective of the project is to develop tools and knowhow to boost HE industrial engineering students’ skills and competences in the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0. ADDIE 5.0 aims to identify and bridge the skillset mismatch between current higher education curricula and the evolving needs of modern industries. The project will ensure long-term impact by creating scalable, open-access educational resources that can be integrated into European higher education systems.

The project will develop scenario-based learning paths and interactive training resources to equip HE industrial engineering students with Industry 5.0 skills. A research-based approach will provide the knowhow to subsequently develop the new training material. A digital educational platform will host curriculum content, case studies, assessments, and certification tools. The framework will be piloted in partner universities, ensuring scalability and long-term impact.

First, the ADDIE 5.0 project aims at developing scenario-based learning paths for industrial engineering students within the HE sector including, not limited to course material, case-studies, and hands-on experiential exercises. Nonetheless, the effort to understand how the transition towards Industry 5.0 affects the future workforce represent a valuable tool for project’s stakeholders. Dissemination of results through transnational event, digital platforms and open access publications is a key.
