Project Summary:
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, neurodegenerative disease that affects young people and is frequently associated with imbalances in the gut microbiota. Diet, as a means of modulating this microbiota, may offer a complementary approach to improving the quality of life of those living with the disease.
The aim of this project is to scientifically validate an innovative dietary intervention, which has already been carried out in people with MS, by analysing biological samples collected before, immediately after and three months following the end of the intervention. The aim is thus to generate evidence that can be applied to personalised dietary recommendations.
