Biography
Dr. Aitor Arbelaiz, assistant professor at the Chemical Engineering Department, is a researcher of ‘Materials + Technologies' Group. He has worked with composites based on lignocellulosic fibers/cellulose nanofibers/nanocrystals and polymeric matrices, including poly(acid lactic), thermoplastisc starch, polypropylene and gelatine.
Research
His work is currently focused on the preparation, characterization and optimization of composites and nanocomposites based on totally renewable materials. He has published several international papers and participated in national and international conferences.
