Biography
Amina Selmanović completed a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Engineering and a Master’s degree in Forest Management at the University of Bihać, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is currently a research assistant at InnoRenew CoE, University of Primorska, and a PhD candidate in Renewable Materials Engineering and in Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments within a cotutelle programme between the University of the Basque Country and the University of Primorska, Slovenia, under the supervision of Dr. René Herrera Díaz and Dr. Andreja Kutnar.
Research
Amina’s research focuses on the chemo-enzymatic functionalisation of wood extractives and their application in wood protection.
