Biography
Lucas Nicolás Ezquerra Riega completed his degree in Chemical Sciences at the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales, Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) in 2020. He held a UBACyT research scholarship from 2018 to 2020, working on the development of connection systems for measuring environmental pollution. After graduating, he started a position at the Shimadzu distributor in Argentina (JENCK) as a researcher in analytical solutions, where he specialized in chromatographic and spectroscopic analytical techniques. In 2024, he joined NCR Atleos as a data analyst, expanding his skills in data analysis and science. In August 2025, he joined the group Materiales + Tecnologías (GMT) in the Departamento de Ingeniería Química y del Medio Ambiente of the UPV/EHU, where he is working on his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Dr. Ainara Saralegi and Dr. Arantxa Eceiza.
Research
Currently, his research activities focus on the development of new polyurethane syntheses with dynamic covalent bonds derived from bio-based sources. These formulations aim to produce more adaptable materials within a circular economy, where recyclability and biodegradability play a key role.
