Biography

María Rodríguez received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the Universidad Simón Bolívar (Caracas-Venezuela) in 2018. During his undergraduate degree, she completed a final degree project where she evaluated a byproduct of the aluminum industry as an active agent in advanced oxidation processes.

During 2019/2021, she worked in an oncology clinic operating a cyclotron and synthesizing radiopharmaceuticals.

Then in 2022, she was awarded a scholarship by the CIC (Scientific Research Commission) to work on a project on the synthesis and characterization of water-based polyurethanes for wood protection at the CITEMA-UTNFRL research center, Argentina.

She is currently developing his doctoral thesis in the “Materials + Technologies” (GMT) research group, under the supervision of Dr. Arantxa Eceiza and Dr. Ainara Saralegi.

Research

She is currently carrying out his doctoral thesis at the “Materials + Technologies” research group. Her research is based on the preparation of bioinks based on aqueous polyurethane-urea dispersions for 3D printing.
