Biography
In 2018, Stefano Torresi obtained the Bachelor degree in “Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering” at Politecnico di Milano. In 2020 he finished the Master degree in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology - Polymer Engineering” at Politecnico di Milano, performing the Master Thesis at the Materials + Technologies (GMT) group, Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department, of UPV/EHU. In 2021, he gained a PhD grant from the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades and started his PhD in the GMT under the supervision of Dr. Arantxa Eceiza and Dr. Nagore Gabilondo.
Research
He is carrying out his PhD thesis on GMT group. His research focuses on the development of new biobased polymeric formulations suitable to be processed by electrospinning for the preparation of functional nanofiber platforms. The formulations can be functionalized through click chemistry reactions, providing specific chemical and physical characteristics to the platforms.
