Dr. Fernando Molina, accredited as ‘distinguished researcher' by the I3 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Spain, is a tenured Research Fellow at the Department of Contemporary History of the University of the Basque Country (Spain). He currently teaches in undergraduated and posgraduated degrees at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication. He was also Co-ordinator of the Master Program in Contemporary History, UPV/EHU and he is Principal Investigator of the Research Cluster NAEVIO (Nationalization, State and Political Violence). His fields of interest are Nationalism and National Identity in modern Spain; Political Violence and Nationalism in contemporary Basque Country; and Social Economy in contemporary Basque Country. He’s written a number of books and articles on these topics, in Spanish, Basque and English. His English publications include articles in Social History, Ethnic and Racial Studies, European History Quaterly, Nations and Nationalism, National Identities, Journal of Contemporary History alongside with book chapters, edited books (ETA's Terrorist Campaign. From Violence to Politics, Routledge, 2017) and international conferences.
