Andoni Kortazar García is a contract professor in the Department of Applied Economics V of the UPV/EHU and member of the EKOPOL research team. He is professor of the subjects Computer solutions for business management and Sustainable Development and the enterprise of the Degree of Management and Business Administration in the Faculty of Business and Economics, Vitoria-Gasteiz. He is currently immersed in the development of his PhD on transport and sustainable mobility within the PhD program of the HEGOA institute and the supervision of David Hoyos and Gorka Bueno. In the first part of the project, the net environmental balance of the Spanish HSR network has been made using the LCA methodology to verify if its construction is justified in terms of reducing atmospheric emissions and energy savings. In the second part, a Cost Benefit Analysis of the same network will be carried out and it has been considered to follow the methodology proposed by De Rús and Nash in the 2007 work.
