Manuela Escribano Riego, graduate in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of the Basque Country since 1982. Professor at the Department of Finance and Tax Law since October 1984. She holds a doctorate in economics from the University of the Basque Country in 1989 and has been a Professor since 1991. She is the author of several articles in specialized journals. Director of Tax Administration of the Department of Economics and Finance of the Basque Government from June 2009 to May 2010 and from that date until December 2012 Deputy Adviser on Finance and Finance in that Department. Director of the Postgraduate Degree in Tax Specialist from 1996 to the course 2011-2012 taught at the University of the Basque Country. Since 2012-2013 Director of the Higher Tax Specialization Program at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Bilbao. Since 2012-13 Academic Director of the Master's Degree in Tax Advice of the Chamber of Commerce of Bilbao. Since June 2016, member of the Board of Directors, as independent adviser, of Kutxabank.
