Member of the Scientific Council of the FOESSA Foundation (Caritas) and of the European Laboratory for Social Criticism (CESTES-Proteo, Rome). Member of FLACSO-Spain.
He has taught at the University of Grenoble, France (1982-1983) and at the Central American University (UCA) in San Salvador (1989-1995).
Consultant for the ILO, the International Union of Food Workers (IUF) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) in El Salvador and Central America.
Specialized in economic development, labour economics and industrial and technological policy. In addition to multiple articles and collaborations, he has published 20 books as author or co-author, with editions in various Latin American countries, in Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
