G. Urbikain is professor at the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU), teaching Applied Mechanics and Manufacturing Systems to Graduate students. He achieved his PhD by dealing with machining stability, particularly in turning processes. He is also researcher in the High-Performance Manufacturing Group since 2008. In 2015, became joint teacher and researcher at the Advanced Manufacturing Center in Aeronautics (CFAA) collaborating in more than 25 International/National/Regional Research Projects. Main topics of interest include, among others, modeling of metal removal processes, system dynamics, process monitoring or modal analysis. He is the author of more than 40 publications in high impact journals (Q1-Q2) and 40 international/national conferences. Besides, he collaborates as editor and reviewer with some journals (Elsevier, Springer). He has co-advised two PhD thesis, now finishing another two. Additionally, he develops other activities as project reviewer, for public (ANEP) as well as for private agencies (EQA, DNV-GL,), reviewer, and editor tasks. H-index: 21 (Scopus)
