Bachelor in Computer Science (1990) and PhD (2006) at the University of Deusto.

Professor at the UPV/EHU since 1992. Currently at the School of Engineering in Bilbao. He has also taught at the ETS of Architecture and at the School of Engineering of the Gipuzkoa Campus.

He has worked in Data Encryption, Knowledge Based Systems and currently he focuses on the Didactics of Mathematics (Project Based Learning and OpenCourseWare).
