MS in Chemistry (1993) from the UPV/EHU receiving the Kutxa Fundation prize for the best marks in Chemistry in the Chemistry Faculty of San Sebastián (UPV/EHU). PhD in Chemistry (1998) from the UPV/ EU and MS in Environmental Sciences (2012) from the UNED. Master Thesis on Training in teaching and research for higher education (2009) from the UNED.
She is Senior Researcher at the Advanced Multiphasic Polymer Group of the POLYMAT Institute. Her lines of research include the study of the properties and characterization of semicrystalline materials (in particular, nanocomposites and biopolymers).
She has been Visiting Researcher at the Emulsion Polymers Institute (EPI) at Lehigh University (Pennsylvania). She has supervised 1 doctoral thesis. She has participated in 21 research projects (being Principal Investigator in two of them) of European, State and Regional funding. She is the co-author of 28 articles in indexed journals, 3 book chapters and more than 30 contributions in national and international congresses.
Educational Innovation is within her research lines. She has participated in an Educational Innovation Project, and has 7 publications on topics related to student-centered learning and the application of ICTs to teaching.
Se has the linguistic accreditation of the UPV/EHU to teach in English and French.
