In 2007 he was given the degree in Chemistry, the Graduation Thesis in 2008 and in 2013, he earned the PhD in Chemistry at the UPV/EHU, which was awarded with the International Doctor and Extraordinary Prize mentions.

Since 2013 he is lecturer in the degree of Chemistry, associate lecturer since 2020, where he teaches subjects of the first three courses (Laboratory Basic Operations, Experimentation in Inorganic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry II) in three languages (Basque, Spanish and English). He also teaches other specific courses aimed at postgraduate students and has participated international lecturers exchange sessions in Sebelas Maret University in Indonesia. He has supervised 10 final year projects, 4 master thesis and he is currently supervising 2 doctoral thesis. Moreover, he is co-author of a book devoted to chemical nomenclature in Basque.

He is co-author of 83 research articles, 3 book chapter and more than 90 short communications submitted to both national and international congresses, having collaborated in the organization of one of them. He has participated in 20 research projects being the principal investigator of one. Since 2013 he has reviewed more than 90 papers submitted to international journals as well as some research projects. His research lines are devoted to the design, synthesis and characterization of metal-organic polymers (MOFs and CPs) with luminescence, magnetic and porosity properties among others.
