Graduated from the University of the Basque Country in Chemical Engineering (2014) and completed Master of Chemical Engineering (2015) at the same university.

He began his research activity in 2014 in the laboratories of the chemical engineering department of the UPV/EHU to carry out his final year project, continuing his research in 2015 for the master's thesis in chemical engineering. In 2016, he was awarded the predoctoral scholarship "Ayudas para la Formación de Profesores Universitarios (FPU)" issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports for the accomplishment of his doctoral thesis. This thesis focused on the hydrodynamic study of the conical spouted bed technology for its scaling and industrial implementation, which defense was held in 2020.

He is member of Catalytic Processes and Waste Recovery research group. It is part of the line of research that has as its objective the hydrodynamic study for a proper scaling up of spouted bed technology.

During his research activity he has participated in 5 research projects, financed by the Basque Government, the European Commission and by the Ministries of Economy and Competitiveness and Science and Innovation. The results have led to 20 articles, 17 of them in Journal Citation Reports indexed journals (most of them located in the first quartile) and the other 3 in non-indexed journals. In addition, he has made 18 contributions to both national and international conferences.
