Methodology

The teaching of the course is face-to-face: there is a combination of Master's classes and seminars, and work carried out by students outside the classroom. As the course is at a postgraduate level, it seeks to balance teaching with the students' circumstances in terms of employment.Classrooms and seminar rooms are used for face-to-face teaching, as well as computer rooms and lecture rooms at the School of Social Sciences and Communications. This is all geared towards integrating Master's teaching with practicals and other participatory teaching methodologies (seminars, exhibitions of works etc.).

Assessment

Whilst the assessment methods employed will depend on the teaching staff for each subject, the main objective of the Master's is to familiarise students with research methods, techniques, and processes in the field of Communications. As such, the tasks set for students will be geared towards them attaining this objective, with particular emphasis on working on projects related to the content of the postgraduate course subject modules.
