Professor in the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising, Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication, at the UPV/EHU (University of the Basque Country).
Member of the BITARTEZ Research Group (UPV/EHU Communication).
Key Roles in Media & Communication:
Coordinator and Presenter of the EHUpodcast (the UPV/EHU's science dissemination podcast).
Contributor to various media outlets (both written and audiovisual).
Over a decade of prior professional experience in audiovisual production companies and local radio stations in Navarre.
Higher Academic Education:
PhD in Basque Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), USA (with a focus on the Center for Basque Studies).
PhD in Development Studies from the UPV/EHU (dissertation focused on the ethnography of an innovation community of practice among self-branded entrepreneurs).
Graduate in Information Sciences from the UPV/EHU.
Areas of Research and Teaching:
Research Focus: Audiences of media in European minority languages (Basque, Galician, Catalan, etc.) with the HEKA team, women's representation in media (GMMP), communication and diversity, and experimentation in journalism and art.
Teaching: Teaches subjects such as Audiovisual Creation Processes and Communication Theories.
