She holds a degree in Geology (2008) by the UPV/EHU. In 2009, she took the International Curse in Hydrogeology (FCIHS, UPC) and afterwards she obtained a Master degree in Environmental Engineering (2010/2012, UC, UPV/EHU). In 2017, she was granted a doctorate in sciences (UPV / EHU) with the highest qualification. She completed a long-term pre-doctoral stay at the Texas A&M University, in the Spatial Sciences Lab and another post-doctoral stay at ECOLAB-Toulouse (CNRS).

Since 2009, she has taught in different departments of the UPV/EHU related to earth sciences and engineering. Currently she is an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Faculty (UPV/EHU) where she teaches Geology having co-directed End of Degree Works related to water, sediments and soil quality. She is also a lecturer in the University Degree in Human Sciences (UPV/EHU) and in the Master in Environmental Engineering (UC, UPV/EHU).

She is a researcher in the Hidro-Environmental Research Group (group A, in the Basque university system) and she has been a researcher in regional and European projects.
