Methodology

A specific classroom has been created at the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao, called "Aula Espazio" (Espazio classroom), and an astronomical observatory is being installed, thanks to a collaboration agreement between the School and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. Classes are taught in this classroom and in some laboratories of the linked departments and companies / technology centres. The Espazio classroom is equipped with a computer station for each student. The master has 60 credits, so when studied full-time it is completed in just one year. The classes are in-class and the schedule has been arranged so that it is compatible with working hours. In this case, however, it is recommended to distribute the teaching load over two years. Compulsory subjects are taught from the beginning of the course until December (8 subjects of 3 credits each), optional subjects from January to April (you must take 7 subjects of 3 credits each out of the 14 that are offered) and the Master's Thesis (15 credits) must be defended before the end of the course in September.

Assessment

Depending on the subjects, several evaluation formulas are used: continuous, work, laboratory practice, final exam ... The Master's Thesis must be submitted in the form of a report and defended before a commission appointed for that purpose.
