PhD in Chemistry from the UPV / EHU (2007) and a degree in Biochemistry (2000, UPV / EHU) with a first cycle in Chemical Sciences.
Founding partner of the spin-off Ikerchem SL (2006) and responsible for the computational design of molecules with anticancer activity.
Associate Professor (LIU) in the Department of Applied Chemistry (Inorganic Chemistry), where she has taught about 500 ECTS credits of regular university and postgraduate teaching, in Basque, English and Spanish.
She is co-author of 7 international patents and more than 30 scientific publications in indexed journals of recognized prestige. Dr. San Sebastián has participated in more than 20 research projects funded in competitive calls of local, regional, national and / or European nature and has in her CV accumulated stays of more than three years in different research institutes of recognized international prestige (France and Spain).
Currently the research of Dr. San Sebastián consists of the following lines:
a) Computational design, synthesis and characterization of porous coordination polymers (PCPs or MOFs) with the capacity to store / purify / transform gases of industrial / environmental interest.
b) Computational design, synthesis and characterization of chiral enantiopure porous coordination polymers (PCPs or MOFs), with the capacity to behave as electronic spin filters.
