Course on Green-Blue Infrastructures in Territorial Planning
On May 18, representatives of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development and Environmental Education (UPV/EHU) offered a course on Green-Blue Infrastructures in Spatial Planning to 25 technicians from the DFB from the Department of Sustainability and Natural Environment and from the Department of Infrastructures and Territorial Development. The course lasted 4 hours and in it, a contextualization of the Green-Blue Infrastructures was carried out, concepts related to them such as ecosystem services, drivers of change or Nature-Based Solutions were explained and their normative and legislative framework was pointed out at the different scales. On the other hand, a brief explanation was made on the development of the Green-Blue Infrastructures and their incorporation in territorial planning, with emphasis on the case of Euskadi. Finally, a case study was analyzed, the LIFE Vía de la Plata in Salamanca, in which the Green-Blue Infrastructures have been incorporated into urban planning.
