Welcome to the website of the department of Mathematics.

The department is located at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Campus of Leioa of the university of the Basque Country, and at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Gasteiz, and gathers the teaching and research of all areas of knowledge of mathematics.

This department is splitted into two different sections. On the one hand, we have the section of pure mathematics, gathering Algebra, Mathematical Analysis and Geometry and Topology areas. On the other hand, we have the section of Applied Mathematics and Statistics and Operational Research, including the areas mentioned in the title.

In this website, we show the most important information about teaching and research in the department, as well as information about the organization of the department and the members of it. This department teaches almost all subjects of the degree of Mathematics.

Besides, this department is responsible of teaching general mathematics at the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Arts.
