Degree in Chemistry (1989) and PhD (1999) from the UPV/EHU where she is professor since 1999. She is the coordinator of the Faculty's Degree in Chemistry (2016-current) and the academic secretary of the POLYMAT institute (2013- present).
She is the researcher responsible for the polymeric coatings and membranes group (Group A of the Basque university system). He has directed 9 doctoral theses (2 international), 11 master's thesis and 9 final degree projects. She has participated in 27 basic research projects (8 of them as lead researcher) and has taken part in 15 long-term contracts with companies. She is co-author of 80 articles in indexed scientific journals. His field of knowledge covers aspects of the synthesis of macromolecular materials, mainly polycondensation (polyurethanes, and epoxy resins) of their chemical characterization via FTIR and NMR spectroscopy, and thermal properties (DSC, TGA). He has also worked on polymer blends (specific interactions by FTIR) and on electrospinning of polymer solutions.
He teaches the subjects of the degree in chemistry Chemical and Physical Characterization of Macromolecules and Spectrometric Identification of Organic Compounds. In the Master in Chemistry and Polymers, he teaches the subject Advanced Polymer Characterization Techniques.
