GORKA MORENO MÁRQUEZ
Full Professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the University of the Basque Country. Director of Ikuspegi - Basque Immigration Observatory. Member of the consolidated research group Partehartuz. Vice President of the Basque Association of Sociology and Political Science.
Bachelor in Political Science and Administration and Ph.D. in Sociology (Cum Laude).
His teaching has focused on subjects related to social policies and exclusion and, above all, international migrations. Currently, he teaches the following subjects: Sociological Theory I, Processes and social structures of the Basque Country and Sociology of Migrations. He also teaches in official masters, linked to social participation, aging, labor relations, globalization or international cooperation, both at the University of the Basque Country and at other national level.
His research areas coincide largely with teaching and he has published several scientific articles -JCR and Scopus- and informative publications in the area of international migration. He has also participated in more than 60 projects and research contracts, most of them as Principal Investigator.
Participates regularly in international and national conferences related to the aforementioned issues, as well as in international research networks.
