Iker Etxano is Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Economics I in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication (UPV/EHU), where he teaches in the degree of Political Science and Public Management. He has a degree in Economics from the UPV/EHU and a MSc from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He also holds a PhD in Development Studies from the UPV/EHU (2013), having been awarded with distinction. He has research placements in several foreign universities as well as participations in various conferences. He has also been involved in different research projects, mainly in the field of Ecological Economics, and its priority research lines are land planning and management, evaluation of public policies, and sustainability and development. As a result, he has published a book, several book chapters and articles in scientific journals, some of them of international nature.
